Yes, you have to be an ApHC member to show an ApHC horse in ApHC classes.
No, but you will enjoy lower fees at our sponsored shows and the camaraderie of a great group of people, as well as be able to participate in our other programs!
Your ApHC horse will collect points when shown in Open classes with any ApHC exhibitor. In order to collect NonPro or Youth ApHC points, an exhibitor will have to be an eligible family member or owner of the horse. NOTE: The option is still there to show at local shows, regardless of ownership. If exhibitors do not meet ownership criteria, the exhibitor may still collect regional/local club points and/or prizes. For more details see www.appaloosa.com
You cannot show your ApHCC registered horse in ApHC classes. However, it may be possible to enroll your ApHCC horse in the ApHC. see this link for registration application https://sub.appaloosa.com/pdfs/CanadianOpenWindowRE_REG.pdf
The 2 registries are different. ApHCC = Appaloosa Horse Club of Canada, ApHC = Appaloosa Horse Club (headquarters in Moscow, Idaho. It may be possible to enroll your ApHCC (aka "Canadian Appaloosa Club") horse in the ApHC. see this link for registration application https://sub.appaloosa.com/pdfs/CanadianOpenWindowRE_REG.pdf Please count on a 6wk turnaround if you are going this route.
